Nintendo has a new president
Tatsumi Kimishima will be the new president of Nintendo. After the death of Satoru Iwata, the video game company has announced that Kimishima take office from tomorrow.
On July 11 Nintendo suffered the loss of its charismatic CIO, Satoru Iwata ;who he was at the helm of the company for almost 13 years and left to leave a great void in the heart of many, as Iwata was a beloved man in the environment.After this unfortunate loss, the direction of the big video game company was empty, and no one knew who would take his place.
Rumors indicated that Reggie Fils-Aime (Nintendo representative in the United States) or Shigeru Miyamoto (senior manager and creator of Mario and Donkey Kong) office Iwata happen; but the truth is that none of these characters occupy that place, because the executive council announced yesterday that the person who will assume the presidency Tatsumi Kimishima.
A name little known to many, but already has experience in the video game company. His relations with Nintendo began when he was appointed chief financial officer Pokémon Company in 2000. Not only that. In 2002 he became president of Nintendo of America ; a position of great responsibility that the executive board has surely known value when Iwata choose to succeed.
We do not know what plans or Kimishima plans to introduce changes in the company are, but it’s clear that Nintendo will launch a new era under his command . Just hope that the new President meets the expectations of both the company and users.
